megadrought

Although parts of Texas and Oklahoma have been hit with heavy rain lately, the thought of experiencing a drought is vacant from our minds. However, the outlook on our water supply is critical. When we stop and really look at the way our country governs water, the lacking infrastructure and the government policies in play then it is doubtful leaders will agree upon a workable solution until the situation becomes extreme.

When you study the past years and see how lakes are down, crops are failing and communities are asking to pump water from places that other cities depend on… well.. it’s not a desireable picture. NASA experts have gathered significant amounts of statistics showing what we are headed in the coming future for what is being called… a mega drought!

Therefore, it is prudent to start thinking ahead and have a plan for getting water. Our bodies need water and we can’t survive without it for more than three days. So the best strategy is to come up with several ways to supply water to our homes: Rainwater collection, build a well, set up a tank for water storage, and to learn how to make water from air.
